At the Heart of Inspiration…

Karine Bédard

This magnificent adventure into the heart of inspiration and creativity all began with a journey… from head to heart. A journey to the heart of myself that allowed me to reconnect to the essence of who I truly am. A journey that I would wish to everyone, which is why I paint these creations with all my heart.

The return to the essence of who I am, I resisted for as long as I could. And finally, when I courageously chose to open the door to creativity, I discovered infinity! An infinite number of possibilities and inspirations are available within me, within my heart.

During the months leading up to creating the Plenitude Collection paintings, I knew deep down that if I genuinely wished to dive into the heart of myself, a return to creativity and expression through art and color was an absolute must. When that choice was clear to me, the Universe placed people on my path who assisted and guided me in this journey.

With courage, I chose to dust off my paintbrushes and watercolors and take the plunge, because yes, that’s how I felt, as though I was about to leap into the great unknown as I stood before a vast white canvas. I had been putting it off for so long. It was as though I was afraid I didn’t know how or of what I’d discover, having been disconnected from that part of myself for over 20 years.

It will forever be etched in my memory of just how touched, moved even, I first felt when I allowed myself the freedom to express myself through colors, with the fluidity of watercolors, and then to look upon the beauty of what had been created, the infinite beauty of that moment of simplicity and heart-opening; only to realize that perhaps the beauty I was gazing upon was actually a reflection of the beauty that resided within me.

After playing around with watercolors a few times, allowing myself to be more daring by using more and more vibrant colors, I was inspired to use acrylic paint. This time, I was swept away by a burst of enthusiasm and joy, both unexpected and almost magical, without postponing or allowing the inspiration to pass.

With the joy of the heart of a child and absolute joy and pleasure, I embarked on this journey in total freedom, and it was as though I had just opened the door to a new universe that was vast and infinite, even. I found myself amazed before the colors, and this moment will forever be engraved in my memory and heart. I can still feel it. In these moments, there is no fear or restraint, no judgment, no goal nor objective.

In hopes that these creations, which I paint with all my heart, also assist you in connecting with that infinity that resides at the heart of yourself.

Works of art to be experienced through the eyes of the heart

Have you ever taken notice of the infinite possibilities and sensations that lie beyond our physical senses? As I journeyed from head to heart, I was able to experience what we call the eyes of the heart.

As the Little Prince said so perfectly, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

That’s when I realized just how much each of us has a choice. We can either choose to limit ourselves to solely experiencing life through the physical realm, or we can choose to experience it through the eyes of the heart.

There is no right or wrong choice. There are simply different experiences to be had, where everything is perfect.

Although perhaps you’re wondering what the difference is between seeing through physical eyes and feeling through the eyes of the heart.

For example, if we look at the Plenitude Collection or the Gallery with our physical eyes, we might see:

A style of contemporary art within each creation.

A mix of colors, sometimes bright, sometimes darker, sometimes contrasting.

Texture that is rather fluid and in motion, at times very smooth and other times showcasing embossed depth.

Abstract forms that for some may not mean anything and for others reflect familiar reference points in their memory or imagination.

And now, if we choose to view these same creations with the eyes of the heart, we might feel:

Uniqueness; the uniqueness of each creation, the uniqueness of the way we appreciate each one, the uniqueness of the experience in this present moment.

A symphony of colors and vibrations that we are all free to receive and experience in our own way.

A feeling of movement, the movement of energy within us and around us, a feeling that can even inspire us to move, to dance.

A feeling of openness to another reality, the exploration of other possibilities, avenues, and opportunities.

A feeling of joy, warmth, and effervescence.

Total quality of presence with oneself, to the present moment, to the creations and messages available to us.

The expression of beauty and life that is present within all that is.

Forms that cradle and rock us through the vibrations of nature, the seasons, the cycles of life, our inner cycles, Plenitude and the Qualities of the Heart such as Love, Peace, Joy, Harmony, Appreciation, Courage, Lightness, Vitality, Compassion, Wonder, Care, and Prosperity.

A portal towards the next step of our expansion...

And so much more! Who knows what YOU will see and feel as you experience these creations through the eyes of the heart.

If it vibrates in your heart to fully experience this, but you don’t quite know how, here is a simple exercise to assist you.

Artistic Approach

If you’ve read the previous text, you’ve probably guessed that Karine Bédard’s artistic approach is based on a connection to her Heart and Sensations. This approach allows for the manifestation of unique works of art through a universal and timeless language.

Self-taught, naturally intuitive, sensitive, and creative, Karine has always had the gift of manifesting in color and form what words alone could not express. A gift that is constantly in expansion and aligned with the refining of her heart connection.

La démarche artistique

Although she enjoys the experience of watercolor and acrylic, she has no attachment to any specific techniques nor materials. Instead, she prefers to be guided by the infinite possibilities that inspiration and creativity have to offer.

For her, creating is a great experience of freedom, openness, lightness, and simplicity. She creates without any specific goals, with her heart of a child, and lets herself be surprised by the manifestations. Her creations are discovery portals for both herself and for us.

She loves to reveal wholeness, neutrality, and the perfection of what is, simply, in the present moment, and the infinitely small that is also infinitely large at once.

For Karine, everything is vibration and infinite possibilities, and this is what she wishes to share through this approach.
